Love: John13:34 KJV

  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

February is considered the love month, searching for a scripture that talks about love; our above scripture verse fits as Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, issued us a love commandment.

 

Jesus' commandment for us to love one another as He has loved us is a directive for us to live in harmony with one another. Jesus Christ demonstrated His love for us on the cross at Calvary; He laid down His life so that all who believe in Him will have everlasting life. What love?

 

The love command that Christ gave is not a suggestion but a command. In obedience to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are to emulate Him in all that we do, and loving one another provides evidence of our obedience to Him.

 

John 3:16 gives us a clear view into the heart of God the Father and His love for humanity; therefore, when we examine the true meaning of GRACE, we will find the heart of God as being true love. GRACE is God’s Righteousness At Christ’s Expense.

 

Let us love one another as love is the greatest commodity we can give. Give love as we are love.
