Scriptures of Encouragement

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Isaiah 49:13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on His afflicted. Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the LORD who goes before you.

Think on These Things: 1 John 4:7; Matthew 22:39

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. And the second is like, unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

I am writing asking us to think on love and ask ourselves why is there so much hate in the world when God is love? Being that hate is a sin and sin tends to puff itself up to appear larger than what it is giving many the false narrative that the world is being overcome by hate. Could it be that Satan knows that his time is nearing the end and he is trying to win the battle against God? All these people spewing hate have no God in them, or their god is one of hate?

Whatever the answer is, let us think on these things; God is love and all who is of God is love also. We love one another as ourselves in obedience to the second commandment. We are commanded to love one another by Jesus Christ Himself. There is more love in the world than it is hate; therefore, believers, let us continue in love and manifesting the love of God and His righteousness. We are the lit candles of this world shining bright the light, the truth, and the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let us not forget these things: (1) God is in control; the battle is His as He has never lost a battle. (2) God knew these days were coming that His warriors would be engaged in spiritual warfare; therefore, He dressed us for the battle (Ephesians 6:10-18). Included in our war gear is faith, the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation, truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the sword of the Spirit, praying as we go. Lastly, know this that the God in us is much bigger than the god of this world; therefore, sin, hate and all unrighteousness has no-win because the God of the universe will bring forth justice and His righteousness will prevail.

Know this, love trumps hate.

Unbossed and Unafraid: 2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Today’s message is designed to encourage all during these turbulent times in our society. We must remember that we are God’s creative beings and He is holding us in the holler of His mighty hands.
That said, let us take courage and know that the God in us is much bigger than the god of this world. The god of this world mission is to cause fear through intimidation tactics, anxiety, and worry giving us a defeated attitude. We are more than conquerors, why because Jesus Christ is our Lord, and Savior has already overcome the world (John 16:33).
Isiah 41:10 tells us to “Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”.
As we navigate our daily tasks, let us stand firm in our convictions with our heads lifted high telling the god of this world, I am not afraid of you, and you cannot boss me around with your intimidation tactics.
Injustice never wins.

The Power of the Holy Spirit: Acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
If these questions were asked, who is the Holy Spirit? What is His purpose in our Lives? The Holy Spirit is God in the third person of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is seen during creation as the spirit that was hovering over the earth.  The Holy Spirit has always been here from the beginning of time.
The Holy Spirit lives in every believer. Every believer’s body is the temple of God. He cannot and will not reside in an unholy place. His purpose is to lead, teach, and guide all believers as we navigate this heavenly journey. He is that still small voice that speaks the consciousness of our minds.
The Holy Spirit also gives us the power to boldly witness Christ in hostile places. We are to begin our witnessing in our Jerusalem, then to Judea, Samaria, and even in the entire world. God, the Holy Spirit gives all believers the ability and boldness to witness the saving power of Christ even during every crisis.
Yield control to the power of the Holy Spirit and tell the world about a risen Savior-Jesus Christ.

Refocusing our Attention

Good morning world;
Let us thank God for another day of His love, grace, and mercy. Let us focus more on God and His grace and less on the world's problems as Christ has overcome the world. (John 16:33).

Praise the Lord

(Psalm 34:1-3) I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. God is worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. Let us sing praises unto His holy name.

"O Give Thanks" Psalm 105:1-8

O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.   Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth. He hath remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Today’s message is one of encouragement to everyone as we stop to reflect on the Lord’s goodness, His love, grace, and mercy. In doing so, we give thanks to His holy name. The Lord, God is worthy of all praises, glory, and honor considering what He has done and is doing in our lives daily. His love enfolds us, His grace covers us, and His mercy suits every situation we encounter.
God’s grace and mercy are everlasting for all generations. He anoints our heads with His Spirit daily to the point our cups overflow with an abundance of His grace and mercy (Psalm 23:5). Let us praise God, and sing unto Him songs of praises thanking Him for being our God, creator, sustainer, and deliverer. Let every heart rejoice in His wondrous works.

A Joyful Morning

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalm 30:5 KJV). Rejoice; morning is coming.
