Standing Firm on Truth: Ephesians 6:11-18

Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

For the past several messages I have tried to provide words of encouragement as this country is in a very dark place as we have never experienced before. I have talked about love from different perspectives such as love having no boundaries, us loving one another as God loves us, and we as believers are protected by God as there is safety in Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world.
That being said, our focus today is standing firm on the truth of God's Word because the truth of God's is what will see us through the evil and dark days we are experiencing here in America. The truth of God's Word will see us through these evil and dark days as we are witnessing all manner of evil and wrongdoings that is emanating from our seat of government.
Scripture tells us the battle that we are currently engaged in, but God has prepared us for this fight. He said us to gird up our loins with the truth (His truth), put on the breastplate of righteousness. We are to wear the gospel of peace as we fight this fight, then we are to have the shield of faith knowing that our God is our mighty warrior who has gone before us in this battle. We are to wear the helmet of salvation, which is our deliverance as we take our sword; God's Word praying as we go with the assurance that victory is our (vv 16-18).
Let me close by saying, victory is our but we must continue fighting for truth, and justice because the stronghold of injustices and wrongdoings is coming to an end. God is a just God, and when His people call on Him, He moves because He hears the cries of the righteous.
Therefore, be encouraged; fight for truth and then justice will prevail.

Love knows no Boundaries: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Today's message makes a profound statement of true love that is the qualities of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Godhead's love is evidenced by the activities that were undertaken in the Father's redemptive plan of salvation. The demonstration of God's love is His Son Jesus Christ hanging on the cross redeeming man from sin and shame restoring all who believe in Him to a life of righteousness. God, the Holy Spirit resides in us to direct our path to holy living so that we may be the city that is set on a hill shining the light of Christ in this sinful world leading lost souls to Christ.
Believers, we are living examples of God's love for our fellow man. True love causes us to endure all things for our loved ones. Following Jesus' example of love, there are no limits to our love. We love from the depths of our hearts. We love from the depths of our hearts whether it is returned or not.
Love for God loves us all unconditionally.

Love One Another: 1 John 4:7KJV

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.

Pondering what to write for today's message I was led by the Holy Spirit to talk about love and loving one another for this is a commandment given by Christ Jesus.
Amid confusion and chaos, society will have us to believe that only hate exists; be encouraged that there are more of God's people spreading and showing love than there is of those spewing hate. See, love is of God, and those that love one another are of God; knows God and God knows us.
All believers are the elect of God and have put on the mercies of God as we have committed ourselves to live holy unto Him as He is holy.
Being holy and the elect of God who loves all and is willing to forgive as Jesus Christ has forgiven us we are longsuffering, ready to help those in need as well forbearing one another's burden (Colossians 3:12-17 KJV).
Let us love one another and show the world who we are and whose we are as there is more love than hate.

Comments are welcomed.

Psalms Volume 2: Book 3-5

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Concluding my preparation for teaching volume 2 of the Psalms I felt obliged to close with Psalm 150 in its entirety which encourages all creation to praise God.
Studying the Psalms, we will learn that they cover a wide range of topics as they relate to God Himself from all creation to humanity, the salvation of humanity, sin and evil, God's judgment; His justice and righteousness, worshiping and praising Him and praying to our holy God.
There are Psalms of when a man is in distress; Psalms of thanksgiving; Psalms listing the many wonders of God; then there are Psalms that praise God.
We praise God for who He is, His love grace and mercy. We praise God because He is sovereign and has all power; He sees all; can do all and is everywhere. He is a God that supplies all our needs.
Given all that God does for us and what He means to us, we are encouraged to sing praises as expressed in the book of Psalm and to shout Hallelujah to the God of all creation.
