Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
In my efforts to provide hope and encouragement during these troublesome
times, I was led by the Holy Spirit to talk about hope.
That said, let’s contrast the two hopes; man’s hope is the person’s
desire, whereas God’s hope is His faithfulness in what He promises. Hope in God
is confident in His kept promises. Having hope in God is because He is
unchanging, and whatever He says will come to pass. God promised us a Savior;
Jesus Christ came and fulfilled His mission of providing salvation to all who
believe in Him.
God promised to provide all our needs, and He does so faithfully. He
promised never to leave nor forsake His own; He is always present through the
indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus promised us a Comforter; the Holy Spirit came and
now lives in every believer.
Yes, we can rejoice
during tribulations because our hope is in the Lord; we are confident of our
deliverance and protection. Therefore, be of good courage and hope in the Lord
always. God said in His word that no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah
54:17). This virus nor any of Satan’s destructive forces will defeat us because
our hope is in God.
