Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and
I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
It
is ironic that today’s message coincide with this week’s Sunday school lesson’s
last verse of the much loved 23rd Psalm.
That
said, reflecting on the entire psalm one can see a psalm of trust, confidence,
love and care from the Lord our Good Shepherd. Throughout this psalm depicts
the Lord’s loving kindness and His protective powers. The psalmist ends by
expressing confidence in knowing that the Lord’s goodness and mercy will be
with him and all believers for a lifetime. What a wonderful thing to know?
God’s
everlasting goodness and mercy; He is our shepherd.
