Acts 2:42
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and
fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
From our lesson topic there is an implied question, what happens when
Christians come together there are teaching, preaching, praying and fellowship.
The Holy Spirit is in the midst and the joy that fills the room is
unmeasurable. God the Holy Spirit is true to His word when He said where two or
three are gathered together in My name I will be in the midst and He is. This
is what I felt this past week at the National Baptist Congress of Christian
Education. The presence of the Holy Spirit was felt by all that was demonstrated
by the attendees' reactions of showing love, shouting for joy, praising God for
His goodness and fellowshipping with one another.
This past week further demonstrated that the sovereign God of all
creations is the unseen hands guiding, protecting and caring for His people and
when we come together what a powerful force to be reckoned with. This is because
the sovereign God is bigger than the god of this world.
When Christians come together the power of God the Holy Spirit is
present moving in a mighty way.
