Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for
the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for
the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy
right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward
of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most
High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague
come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee
in all thy ways.
Today’s message is another in a series of attempts to encourage
a method of reassurance all that God is our true protector. It does not matter
the crisis or situation God is protecting us. Our scripture texts give us the
assurances we need to calm our fears and anxieties. I am reminded of this
scripture which states is part unless God keeps the city the watchman watches
in vain (Psalm 127:1). What that means is that whatever we try to do unless God
is in the midst it is in vain or will come to nothing.
In closing, rest in the protective care of Almighty God; He
has His angels watching over you and me.
