Comfort in the Lord: Isaiah 43:2. 40:31

When thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43:2). But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Today’s pandemic crisis is our floodwaters that are flooding the banks of our lives; rest in the assurances that the Lord God is with us and is walking every step of the way with us. We shall not drown in these floodwaters, neither will the fire of evil consume us. Remember the Hebrew boys when they were in the fiery furnace; were they consumed? No, and neither will we. Was Daniel eaten by the Lion and neither will we be?
What we must do is wait upon the Lord and He will renew our strength to the point that we will mount up on wings like an Eagle. We will soar high above this pandemic and any other situation.  We must hold onto our faith in the Lord and do not become weary or faint during these trouble times. God is the same today as He was over two thousand years ago.  He is a trustworthy God.

The Good Shepherd

John 10:11states, I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. Believers, we are the sheep, non-believers accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and become sheep of the good shepherd.

Have Confidence in God: Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Why must we have confidence in the Lord? We have confidence in the Lord because of who He is and His sovereign powers. He is the creator and sustainer of all His creations. He knows all; he can do all and is everywhere. There is nothing that takes God by surprise. He knows the end from the beginning.
We have confidence in the Lord because He is a promise-keeping God. When He asks us to cast all our cares upon Him do so. This is trusting Him in every situation.
We have confidence in God because as stated in our lesson text He is the light and our salvation. We fear God in reverence because of who He is. He gives us that extra strength when it is needed. He provides comfort in our times of troubles.
We have confidence in the Lord because He is our Savior who has brought us safely through life’s troubles waters. His Son Jesus has redeemed us from sin and shame to a life of righteousness.
Given all that the Lord has done and continues to do we are to fear no one, neither are we to be afraid because God is with us.

Have no Fear for God is with Us: Isaiah 41:10; John 16:33

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
In the midst of these trying times fear not because God is with us and in Him, we have victory over any and every trial and tribulation. Take comfort in knowing that God’s peace is upon us and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ have overcome this world and its troubles.

Encouragement

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isaiah 54:17). Let us fear not during these turbulent times because we are God's children and He will protect us.

The Lord is My Shepherd: Psalm 23:1-6

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
In my effort to provide encouraging words, reflect with me on this Psalm and meditate on each verse, that explains how the Lord is our shepherd and is providing for our every need. Even during our storm, God is present in the storm with us (v.4).
God doesn’t leave us when the storm is over, His goodness and mercy angels walk beside us daily so that we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (v.6).
Therefore, be of good courage, have faith, believe and trust God and then do as He asks; cast all of our cares upon Him. He will take of the situation (1 Peter 5:7). This crisis is no different.
Be safe and well as we follow our directives. God is in control.

Words of Comfort and Encouragement

Today’s message is words of comfort in my effort to provide comfort in these trouble times.
John 16:33 states these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. This verse tells us to take comfort in knowing that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have overcome the troubles of this world; therefore, cheer up and focus on Him. He has the cure for this virus.
Psalm 55:22 states, cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. This verse encourages us that no matter what situation we are facing give the problem to Jesus and let Him solve the problem. The Lord would not have made such a promise if He wasn’t going to keep His promise. God has kept every promise made. God the Father promised a Savior, Jesus came at God’s appointed time. Therefore, at God’s appointed time He will reveal a cure for this virus that has caused a worldwide pandemic.
Joshua 1:9 states, have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. God is with us during this crisis; therefore, take courage in knowing that God is: still with us.
Psalm 18:2 states, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower; meaning God is all that we need. He is our all-in-all.

Signs of the End Times: Matthew 24:4-14

In pondering what to write as I try to provide words of encouragement during these troublesome times. My mind went back to a question that Jesus’ disciples asked Him, what shall be the sign of His return and the end of the world? Today’s message is His answer to the disciples when Jesus told them what to look for as they like us today must remember that no one knows the exact time when Jesus will return.
First Jesus said that many will come in His name and deceive many, second, there will be rumors of wars, there will be nations against nations, kingdom against kingdoms, there will be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in places where they have never been before. Christians will be persecuted for the name of Jesus, but in spite of all these things the end is not yet.
The pandemic that the world is currently enduring is part of the pestilences that Jesus spoke of that would and is occurring before the end of time. If I could summarize the situation in one phrase it be would sin and a total disregard for God and His law. We see sin’s manifestation in one form or another.
Let me encourage all, as believers are shielded by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. His blood covered a multitude of sins. Also, we as believers are protected under the protective shield of God almighty, and as we stand firm on the truth of His word it is our shield and buckler (Psalm 91:4). Yes, we may have to suffer with the rest of the world during this pandemic, but be assured that God is our refuge, our rock, He is our strength, and our salvation (Psalm 18;2). We can always go to the rock of our salvation. He will not hide from us; being true to His promise to never leave nor forsake us; therefore, take heart that God is in this storm with us and He will see us through. If you are not a believer, get in Christ and be covered by His precious blood.
We may have to endure some inconvenience, take this like God, and family time and renew our love for both.

Jesus Christ in the Midst of our Troubles: Deuteronomy 3:16, Zephaniah 3:17

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, (it is) He that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in his love, He will joy over thee with singing.
Allow me to try and bring comfort to worried minds and hearts that are filled with anxiety. God’s word is true and everlasting. When He says fear not neither be afraid for, He, God is with us. Trust Him and never doubt His word. God has always kept His promises, today’s situation is no different.
God said for us to take one step and He will take two; therefore, do what we can to be safe and take precautions and God will see us through. As stated in our scripture text, God is in the midst of this situation as He is with any other situations. Rest in the love of God as He is our true protector. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler (Psalm 91: 4).
Look to the Lord, and please do not be overcome with fear, if so, we are defeated. Remember the words as recorded in Isaiah 41:10 that states, Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Covered by The Precious Blood of Jesus: Hebrews 9:14

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

In light of the current pandemic that is ravaging the world and the United States, I was led by the Holy Spirit to remind all that we are covered by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am pleading the blood of Jesus on all humanity. Am I saying do not take precautionary measures to protect ourselves, no what I am saying is that in the midst of this and any other crisis, we are safe in the arms of Jesus?
Jesus’ blood covered a multitude of sins. It was Jesus’ blood that provided and provides its reconciling and purifying power that is continually appropriated to all believers as we go to God the Father through Jesus Christ. It is Jesus’ blood that will continue protecting us as our true protection is in the secret place of the almighty God (Psalm 91).
In closing, be safe and continue trusting in God.
