Therefore the Lord himself shall give
you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his
name Immanuel.
In preparation for the birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior
Jesus, I felt it necessary to remind everyone
In Isaiah’s prophecy, he was precise in the foretelling of
Christ’s birth; He would be born of a Virgin woman and provided the name of the
Christ child, which was Immanuel, that means God with us. Christ is God the
Father’s only begotten Son; therefore, God is with us through Jesus Christ, who
was present at the beginning with God during creation (John 1:1).
Therefore, as we prepare for the celebration of this glorious
day, let us remember why and who we are glorifying, and we give gifts in commemoration
of the greatest gift ever given-salvation through Jesus Christ.
