For unto you born this day in the city of David a Savior,
which is Christ the Lord.
The birth of Christ fulfills the prophecy that was
prophesied by the prophet Isaiah when he stated that a virgin would bring forth
a son, and His name shall be called Immanuel, which means God with us. Mary was
the virgin who brought forth Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.
God’s actions of giving His only begotten Son to be the
Savior of the world depicts the heart of God, which is love.
The wise men who visited Jesus took gifts as a form of
worship and expression of thankfulness for the birth of our Savior. Gifts are
given in commemoration of the greatest gift that humanity has ever received,
which is salvation. We celebrate the
birth of our Savior as an expression of thanksgiving to our heavenly Father and
Savior, Jesus Christ for salvation.
We honor God for who He is and His Plan of Salvation
through the birth of Jesus Christ; therefore, without Christ, there is no
Christmas.
