And the prayer of faith shall save the sick,
and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be
forgiven him.
Our scripture verses discuss
prayer and the results of prayers. What this proves is there is power in prayer
and faith that goes with prayer. Verse 13 instructs us to pray if there are any
among us that is ill and if everything is okay, then sing songs of praise.
There is healing power in prayer, and we must have enough faith to believe in
our prayers.
There
are many instances in the Bible where prayers were made, and faith opened the
door to answered prayers. Mustard seed size faith will move mountains (Matthew
17:20 KJV). Jesus instructed His disciples to have this kind of faith, and they
could do the impossible. We will have mountains in our lives; we must exercise
mustard seed size faith, and then watch God work.
Verse
15 reminds us there is power in praying the prayer of faith; it will heal the
sick as well as bringing into realization the desired result of our prayer.
Faith in Jesus Christ is essential to our salvation.
Pray whether we are petitioning God for self or someone
else or thanking Him; pray, and have faith.
