Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love covereth all sins.
In light of the hate and evil that is plaguing today's society I felt the
need to take a look at hate verses love. Many people will swear that they love
someone and will make it their life's work to destroy another for some foolish
reason that has no value whatsoever. This makes me wonder what their definition
of love is. I wonder this because love doesn't hurt and does not seek to
destroy the very person you say you love. Love is an action word. Love seeks to
do good for another person even if the person giving and showing love is wronged
by the recipient; this is true love. Love overrides hate.
God provides an example of true love (John 3:16). Love incorporates forgiveness,
because all of us have been forgiven at some point in our lives.
Love is one of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23); therefore,
let your love remove your hate.
