Psalm 92:1-2
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises
unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning,
and thy faithfulness every night.
A
few months ago we celebrated Christ's birth; today we are one week before
Passion Week which includes Crucifixion Friday where Christ our Lord bore our
sins providing salvation to all who accept Him as Savior.
We
give thanks to God for His lovingkindness, because it was God's love that He
gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16). We
give thanks and praises to His Son Jesus who willingly gave His life paying
man's sin debt. God's Spirit lives in every believer guiding our way as we
navigate life's journey and His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto
our path (Psalm 119:105).
That
said, given the magnitude of God's love; constant praises are encouraged
because His grace and mercy covers us daily.
Simply
thank God.
