Give Your Burdens To The Lord

Psalm 55:22

Cast thy burdens upon the Lord; and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

In light of the troubles of this world, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to encourage all to put on the yoke of salvation where there is peace, rest and God's presence. This is a call from God for all to give their burdens on the Him. This is because He is able and willing to bare the weight of our burdens.
This call has been repeated throughout scripture and is predicated on God's love, grace and mercy for mankind as He wants an intimate relationship with man. What better way for this relationship to develop and grow than for God our creator to care for all our needs, worry and anxieties as well as providing salvation to all who accept His Son Jesus as Lord and Savior.
When a problem or burden gets too heavy to bear that is when God will pick us up and carry us through the problem. This is love personified and compassion at its best!
These questions come to mind, When trouble rise who do you call? Do you call someone whom you know have the solution to the problem and can resolve the problem or do you call someone who will worsen the problem? Our scripture verse provides the answer by stating that God will sustain thee, and will never suffer the righteous to suffer. Then God is the answer because He is our all in all.
God is our burden bearer.

Believers Are Blessed With God's Grace

Psalm 5:12

For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour with thou compass him as with a shield.

The writer of this psalm is expressing in his morning prayer the blessings received from God's favor, which is viewed as His grace, which encompasses all things. God's favor also includes His kindness, care, love and mercy as this definition is on daily display in God's actions toward His people. The greatest display of God's favor is in His grace of providing salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. God's favor continues through His longsuffering giving the unsaved time to repent and be saved. Upon being saved, God's Spirit the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. He is our guide, teacher, protector and bring to our remembrance God's truths.
Believers are blessed by God's grace in meeting all our needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Whatever God promises He is faithful to keep them. That said God's grace is sufficient in that during our weakest hour is when God's strength is on display (2 Corinthians 12:9). His mercy endures forever (Psalm 106:1). This is comforting to know because we as believers have a God who is trustworthy, unchangeable and is always available to answer our prayers. What a blessing it is that all believers can call on God at the same time and never get a busy signal?
Thank God for His favor.

The Forgiven

Ephesians 4:32

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

The apostle Paul is encouraging believers as Ephesus to forgive one another as God has forgiven all believers through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. The forgiving principle applies to all for generations past, present and future. Forgiving others is encouraged in the Lord's Prayer and rightly so given the price Christ our Savior paid in the forgiveness of sin. Humanity wants God to forgive us and He does. There are many who are wronged have difficulty forgiving his or her fellowman. Man and especially believers are to emulate the forgiving spirit of Christ.
The forgiving process incorporates the agape love of the Godhead. God the Father gave His Son, the Son gave His life and God the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. When man fails to obey God's commandments He remains faithful to forgive us and redeemed us through Christ's shed blood. What a forgiving God?
The phrase "the forgiven" are just many adjectives describing the people of God who have been chosen by God as they were predestined by Him to be His elect. The forgiven are God's holy nation of people to live in holy matrimony unto Him. That said, some of the adjectives used to describe God's people are: (a) God's elect, (b) the Redeemed, (c) God's chosen people, (d) Saints of God, and (e) Believers.
Whatever adjective used to describe believers we are His forgiven people.

"My Redeemer Liveth"

Below is Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday message. If there were no death on the Cross there would be no Resurrection.
Thanks for allowing me to share.

"My Redeemer Liveth"
Job 19:25

...I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.

Job makes a profound declaration with his statement regarding the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ as the One who would redeem His people and at the latter day will rule His kingdom from earth. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Job looked forward to the day when Jesus Christ would pay man's sin debt.
Also, included in Job's statement is an expression of his faith in the Lord God who would heal him of his pain and suffering. Job never lost faith in God because in Job's heart he knew he had lived as God commanded and his afflictions were permitted by God Himself. Job knew in his heart that God had the power to heal him if it was God's will and all that he lost would be restored.
What does this say for you and me today? Believers today and for generations to come are encouraged to have Job like faith and never lose heart in the midst of our suffering. During the age of grace Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and is alive forever. Christ suffered for our sake; therefore, we as believers will suffer for His sake. Are you willing to suffer for Christ's sake? Remember Christ will never leave nor forsake His own. Do you have the patience and faith of Job who never doubted God?
Christ our Redeemer lives.

Rejoicing In His Goodness

2 Chronicles 6:41b

....Let thy priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.

There are reasons why all believers can rejoice in the Lord and His goodness and they are:
(a) The Lord God is the creator and sustainer of all creation. He created man in His image and likeness. God breathed His breath into man, and he became a living soul. The Holy Spirit lives in all humanity and especially believers.
(b) God is the provider and deliverer of His People. In the OT, God is seen as the one who delivered His people and brought them safely through from whatever the situation was.
(c) God the Father gave His Son and the Son gave His life to save man from the bondage of sin and the eternal separation it brings. In the NT Christ is our Savior.
(d) God freely gives His grace to all who accepts His Son Jesus as their Savior through faith in Him.
(e) All believers are clothed in God's righteous garment of salvation where the believer will spend eternity with Him.
(f) When believers get to heaven there is a crown of life and righteous waiting, and we will have transformed bodies like Christ our Savior.
(g) God left the Holy Spirit as our heavenly compass as we travel this Christian journey.
(h) God surrounds us with His grace supplying all our needs spiritual and physical.
Rejoice! Rejoice! God is good all the time.

Grace Daily Anointing

Psalm 23:5b

Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runeth over.

Today's focus is believers' daily anointing of God's grace. God in His graciousness cared so much for His people until He anoints our heads daily with His Spirit to the point that we are overflowed with His grace. God's compassionate Care in action.
God's people are to manifest His glory as we tabernacle here on earth; therefore, He provided His Spirit the Holy Spirit as our teacher, guide and helper as our aid when we encounter Satan and his destructive tactics. Satan will try to destroy God's kingdom, but he is a defeated foe. Being anointed with God's Spirit is another form of His protective care as believers will encounter many trials and tribulations while here on earth.
It is noteworthy to say, God's daily anointing of His people is showing ownership to Satan and the world. Satan sees believers mark and anointing because believers are sealed with God's identifying mark as the Holy Spirit covers us.
Believers, we are blessed to be members of God's family and to be anointed daily with His Spirit as an expression of His love for us. God's daily anointing is fresh each day as the morning due.
Praise God for His Spirit-the Holy Spirit.

Thank God

Psalm 92:1-2

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

A few months ago we celebrated Christ's birth; today we are one week before Passion Week which includes Crucifixion Friday where Christ our Lord bore our sins providing salvation to all who accept Him as Savior.
We give thanks to God for His lovingkindness, because it was God's love that He gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16). We give thanks and praises to His Son Jesus who willingly gave His life paying man's sin debt. God's Spirit lives in every believer guiding our way as we navigate life's journey and His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).
That said, given the magnitude of God's love; constant praises are encouraged because His grace and mercy covers us daily.
Simply thank God.

Jesus' Blood The Purifying Agent

Hebrews 9:14

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Sprit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

From our scripture text, the basic question that comes to mind is, What else can the blood of Christ do that it hadn't already done? It purified all believers of their sinful conditions. It forgave our sins, and it paid our sin debt. It justified all believers and gave us the desire to live holy unto God and serve Him with a heartfelt devotion. Also, Christ's blood set apart all believers so that all believers are now members of God's holy nation of priests that have been called out from among the people of this world. Christ's blood gave all believers a permanent home in heaven where our true citizenship is, and we have a crown of life and righteousness waiting for us.
Christ's blood delivered all believers from the dead works of sin and gave all believers a life of righteousness free from Satan and his demonic powers that imprison unbelievers with no way out, but Christ's blood paved the way. Through Christ's blood, all believers have a blood bought right to come boldly to God's throne of grace where there is help, mercy, love and care (Hebrews 4:16).
Christ's blood did what animal blood couldn't do; it forgave sin once and for all.
