Happy New Year
A Renewed Commitment To Christ
At the beginning of each New Year many make New Year's resolutions, which are commitments to do something or set new goals to achieve in the New Year.
Today, I want to encourage all humanity and especially believers of all walks of life to make a renewed commitment to Christ and holy living. I make this plea because our world is in turmoil and our land needs a healing (2 Chronicle 7:14). If every believer recommit him or herself to Christ to show forth His righteousness, because we are the church that is set upon a hill shining the brightness of God's glory for the entire world to see.
The more this sinful world sees the goodness of God, and then others will come to Christ. How is this accomplished? This is accomplished by believers/Christians, spreading the Word of God, remaining steadfast in Christ, being faithful unto Him and His holiness while having an enduring spirit as we persevere in our faith.
A renewed commitment to Christ is the believer's New Year's resolution.

Guided By A Star
Matthew 2:2
...Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star
in the east and are come to worship Him.
If the question were asked, who were these men who followed a star to
find the newborn King? These were the wise men that were religious men and had
heard of the prophecy. They like so many others had waited for the fulfillment
of God's promise that He would send a Savior to make a one time sin atonement.
The much anticipated day had come and Christ the King was born.
As stated in a previous writing that God unique methods used to announce
the birth of His Son Jesus Christ. He used angels to tell the shepherd abiding
in the fields that His Son was born and the heavenly host joined in the
celebration of Christ's birth. In this setting God is using a star to lead some
religious men to where Christ was.
Christ's star is still shinning bright for the entire world to see;
therefore, the question now becomes, Are you following His star? He is the
bright and morning star that the world cannot dim with its sinful conditions.
All believers represent the star of Jesus as we are the lit candles and the
church is the city set high upon a hill shinning brightly in this sin-darkened
world.
Therefore, believers, let your Christ star shine for the world to see.

Rejoice In The Works Of God
Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God and the
firmament sheweth His handiworks.
Our
scripture text dispels the notions that all creations happened by some form
other than by the handiworks of God. Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3 support our
scripture text of God creative powers as Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was
present during the creation process.
God
is worthy of all praises, glory and honor because of who His is and His
sovereign powers both seen and unseen. His handiworks are visible daily in man
and nature. It is in God that we have our being. God promised to meet all our
needs; He does. Man needed a Savior; God gave His only begotten Son Jesus
Christ to be the Savior of the world. Our salvation is in Jesus Christ as He
was born to die to restore a broken fellowship between God the Father and man.
Therefore,
rejoice! rejoice! let us rejoice in the glory and handiworks of God.

Immanuel
Today's message taken from this month's devotional Heavenly Bread, which looks at the names associated with Christ our Lord and Savior as we sing hallelujah to the Lamb of God.
Thanks for allowing me to share inspiring words with you. Feel free to share with others.
Immanuel
Isaiah 7:14
...The Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a Virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Christ had been prophesied many generations before God the Father fulfilled His promise. The prophet Isaiah makes a profound declaration about the coming Savior by giving full details of His birth. He was pre-named and that He would be born of a virgin, and Mary was the chosen virgin.
The name Immanuel means God with us and He is because Jesus Christ was the final revelation of God the Father. He was with God in the beginning and all things were made by Him that was made (John 1:1, 3). Jesus embodied both God and man; therefore, He performed miracles, signs and wonders because He was God in the flesh. Christ remains with us today through His Spirit the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Christ being both God and man He perfectly kept all God the Father's laws and commandments, fully obey His Father as well as carry out His will, which was to atone man's sins through His death on the cross at Calvary.
That said; God the Father knew the end from the beginning that His only Son would have to reconcile man back to Him by scarifying His life to redeem man. In doing so salvation is provided to all who believe on the name Jesus as this is God the Father's free gift.
Immanuel! Immanuel! Immanuel-the Christ.

Give Thanks
Psalm 100:1-5
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord; all ye lands. Serve the Lord with
gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is
God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and
the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His
courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is
good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.
This psalm is looked upon as the Thanksgiving psalm and rightly so
because each verse outlines how and why we are to give thanks to the Lord. This psalm begins with a clarion call for all
nations to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Making a joyful noise unto the
Lord because He is our creator and His mercy and truth last forever. Being that
He is truth and never changes. Thank God He doesn't.
God being our creator gives credence to why He sustains us through His
compassionate care. All humanity was created in the image and likeness of God;
therefore, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. The world is His
pasture as He leads and guides us through His Spirit-the Holy Spirit.
Given who God is and all that He has done and continues to do in the
lives of humanity is worthy of our heart-felt praises, honor and glory.
Constantly give thanks to our all sovereign God; He is worthy.

Caring For The Poor Through Giving
1 Corinthians 16:1-2
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to
the churches of Galatia,
even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him
in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
Today's discussion focus is on caring for the poor believers in our
church and community so they too will not be in want or need. This speaks to
God's provisional care in that He made provisions for all our needs.
Paul instructs the believers at Galatia on how to make sure the
less fortunate needs are met through giving. God blesses each of us according
to His good pleasure; therefore, we are to bless others by giving a portion of our
blessings. God gives us more than what we need to meet our needs so we can help
meet the needs of others. Using this strategy, the less fortunate is cared for
and there is always enough to go around.
Paul's instruction for giving to the poor at Jerusalem raises the issue of the church
being the one stop shop meeting the needs of its community. People come to the
church for food, clothes, money and help with housing as well as their
spiritual needs.
Giving brings into focus tithing, which is giving God ten percent of what
He has blessed us with because all belongs to God.
Giving is a form of worship because we serve God when we give.

I Surrender All
James 4:7-8a
Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil and he will flee
from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
Why must we surrender all to God?
We surrender all to God because (a) who
He is, (b) His awesome powers, (c) He is our creator and sustainer, (d) we are
made in His image and likeness as He breathed the breath of life into us. (e)
It is in Him that we have our being from the beginning to end and we can do
nothing in and of ourselves. (f) He provides for all our needs physical and
spiritual. (g) He provided salvation through His Son Jesus Christ and all who
accept Christ's atoning work will spend eternity with Him. (h) He favors us
with His grace each day of our lives.
Now that we have looked at some reasons why we surrender all to God,
let's look at believers being the elect called by God to be His workmanship to
continue spreading the gospel of Christ to a lost world. This is so that others
might hear, believe and they too will join His holy nation of people.
It is noteworthy to say; as we surrender all to God we
have the right view of God, self and others. This is call humility as God will
exalt the humble and resist the proud. Surrendering all unto God, a close
relationship develops between you and God, which is what God wants.
Surrender all to God.

What Make Our Prayers Effective?
James 5:16
Confess you faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye
may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
In our attempt to answer our topical discussion question, let's look at
what our scripture text says; (a) we are to confess our fault to one another,
(b) pray for one another, and (c) then a healing will occur whether it is
spiritual or physical. That said, once we confess our faults the weight our own
sin and or iniquities are lifted which leads to a spiritual healing. When we pray
for our fellowman let it be in sincerity and with all honesty.
Let us look at what makes our prayers effective and they are (a) offer
praises and adoration to God for who He is and His sovereign powers. (b) Thank
God for His goodness, grace, love and mercy. His mercy took the place of
justice when justice was demanded. (c) As stated above, sincerely confess our
own faults/sins whether known unknown. (d) We are to pray in the name of Jesus
our Lord and Savior. (e) We are to pray from the heart because God looks at the
heart and knows the sincerity of the prayer's request.
We are encouraged to pray without ceasing because the "prayers of
the righteous availeth much." This is because there is a close
relationship between the prayer and God. Prayers also open the door for a
Spirit-filled life.
The prayer has faith in his or her prayers knowing that God hears and
answers prayers.

Family Time
Today's message taken from November issue of my Heavenly Bread devotional published on Kindle and CreateSpace. Thanks for allowing me to share inspiring words with you. Please share with others.
Psalm 68:6
God setteth the solitary in families; He bringeth out those which are bound with chains; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Our scripture text tells a lot about God's value for the family and His protective care for the family. Let us look at the structure of the family and God's care in structuring the family with the husband-man being made the head of the family, the wife as his helpmate and then children. God structured the family so there would be unity and solitary as it emulates the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit where there is complete unity and harmony. This is how families are to operate and family time is a valued commodity just as time alone with God. It is noteworthy to say that God values His time in fellowship with His people.
Let me say, family and the time families spend together is irreplaceable because there is harmony, love and joy as well as sharing precious moments with one another that lasts a life-time. Family and family time is an institution established by God and will not be replaced by today's society and its value systems.
Let me encourage all to make family and family time a high priority in our busy schedules.
There is no time like family time with our earthly love ones and with God through prayer, worship and Bible reading.

A Daily Walk And Talk With God
Ephesians 6:18; Exodus 25:22
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (6:18).
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the
mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the art of the
Testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the
children of Israel.
Our scriptures texts list the
importance of communing with God daily through prayer and in doing so a close
relationship develops, which is what He wants. Biblical history records the
closeness of Moses and God as they commune daily and as a result a close
relationship developed.
Communing daily with God we gain godly wisdom and knowledge. The more we commune
with God through daily prayer, Bible reading and meditating on His Word we
become more like Him. In doing so, we become more trusting of His word
forsaking our own understanding of things and we begin to see things as God
does.
Just as God promised to meet and talk with Moses and the Israelites from
above the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant He will do the same for you and
me from His mercy seat of grace.
Walk and talk with God daily; He is waiting to hear from you.

Overcomers Through Christ
Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I
will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name
before My Father, and before His angels.
In this setting, we have Christ offering encouragement to all believers
saying, that if they persevere unto the end then they shall be clothed in white
raiment that would have been washed in His blood. Christ is also stating that
the overcomer's name will be in the book of life where the believer will live
forever in His presence. Christ will also confess before the Father and the
angels as to who these overcomers are. They are all those who have withstood
Satan's attacks and the persecutions during the tribulation period.
That said, believers in all generations are engaged in a spiritual
conflict that began in heaven between Satan and God. All believers are in God's
army and are subjected to persecution and these persecutions will increase
during the tribulation years. Believers have the help of the Holy Spirit to aid
in our fight against Satan and persecution as well as being dressed for battle
in God's battle gear.
What a blessing it is to live eternity in the presence of the Lord
dressed in white robes and having glorified bodies like Christ our Savior where
there will be no more persecutions, pain and suffering.
Believers take heart, Christ has overcomed the world; therefore, we are
overcomers.

Healing Of A Nation
2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and
pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
In light of
the current evil conditions in our country and the world I was led by the Holy
Spirit to call for intercessory prayer as many of us prayer warriors are
currently praying for the healing of this nation.
The news is
filled with grim news of murder and mayhem; young children killing innocent
babies. What has a baby done other than be born? We have young children
plotting to kill their siblings and the entire family; what have our society
come to? Then there are people killing
one another without any remorse what so ever?
My
answer is that we as nation as a whole have put God on the back burner. Many
are compromising our faith on moral issues we know that is against God's moral
laws. The family structure is being turned upside down. The family is an institution
established by God and will remain as He implemented regardless of man's
definition or efforts to redefine marriage.
God
will take His rightful (first) place in our lives one way or the other because
He said; thou shall have no other gods before me, nor make any graven imagines
of Him (Exodus 20:3-4).
The
question now becomes, how do we heal our land? Our scripture text provides the
answer and whatever God promises will come to pass because He is true to His
word. If we turn back to Him He will heal our land.
Join
me in praying for a healing of our land. We need a spiritual healing of this
nation.

Ten Commandments God's Guidance
Exodus 20:3-17
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee
any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that
is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt
not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
The Ten Commandments are God's instructions to man for holy living which
begins with the first instruction as it relates to other gods and the holy God of
this universe. The first of the Ten Commandments tell how God feels about other
gods as He is the one true God who is to be worshiped, praised, and honored. He
is worthy given His sovereign powers. Also, God forbids the creation of any
graven images unto Him because no man has ever seen God and lived. Even Moses
wasn't allowed to see God face to face; he could only look at God's hind part.
God's instructions further outlines for mankind how and when if obeyed
leads to holy living. Obeying God's Ten Commandments indicates humanity's love
and gratitude to God for what He has done and continues to do in life of all
men. Obeying God's Ten Commandments reverberates from one person to another and
then to the entire community.
The Ten Commandments are manifestations of His love for man and how we
are to live. This is also evidence of God's provisional care for humanity.
The Ten Commandments are given to benefit humanity.

Christ's Blood Did It All
Hebrews 9:14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit
offered Himself without spot of God, purge your conscience even from dead works
to serve the living God?
Our lesson text asks a profound question that begs an answer by looking
at what Christ's blood did atoning sin.
Therefore, let us look at what Christ's blood accomplished: (a) it
forgives sin of all believers (Matthew 26:28). (b) Christ's blood bought back
all believers from Satan and eternal separation from God to a life of
righteousness in God (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Revelation
5:9; 12:11). (c) Christ's blood justifies all believers (Romans 3:24-25). (d)
Christ's blood cleanses all believers' conscience so that they might service
God with full assurances of one's faith (Hebrews 9:14; 10:22; 13:18). (e)
Christ's blood sanctifies all believers, which is being set apart as God's
people. (f) Christ's blood opened the door so that all believers can now come
boldly to God where they will find peace, grace, mercy and help in the time of
trouble and most importantly salvation (Hebrews 7:25; 10:19; Ephesians
2:13-18). (g) Christ's blood assures all believers of the promises made under
the new covenant. (h) Christ's blood reconciled all believers back to God the
Father as it is the purifying agent which cleanses us from sin and shame to
holiness.
From the above answers, Christ's blood did what animal blood could not
do; it forgave sin instead of covering over sin.

We Are Special To God
Today's message taken from October's devotional, Heavenly Bread published on Amazon CreateSpace.com. Thanks for your support and allowing me to share inspiring messages with your.
1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chose generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew for the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
All mankind is special to God in that His Spirit lives in us because He breathed the breath of life into man and he became a living soul. God created man to be in fellowship with Him. Sin broke that fellowship; thank God for Jesus who restored that fellowship and all who accept Christ's atoning work have become members of His royal family of priests who have been called out from among the unbelievers of this world.
Believers are special to God in that we heard and accepted God's spiritual invitation to be His son and daughters. Believers are no longer living in the darkness of sin and shame, but in the righteous light of God's glory.
Collectively believers are God's holy nation of people who shine the brightness of His righteousness. Individual believers are God's dwelling place in that we are temples of God. The faith community-the church are God's dwelling place as well.
Being the special people that we as believers are, we are called into righteous living as we have yielded control to the indwelling Holy Spirit as He serves as our moral compass.
Believers we are the apple of God's eye, so live like His special people.

How Is Our Stewardship?
1 Corinthians 4:1-2
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards
of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be
found faithful.
In yesterday's discussion our focus was man being honored by God that He
gave man dominion over His creation, but today's focus is our stewardship over
God's creation being that He left man in charge. The Bible records examples of
God using godly and faithful stewards to manage what God had blessed them with.
Joseph come to mind when he was sold in slavery and then rose to a position of
power and in doing properly managed what was under his care to the point that
there was enough to provide for another nation. Adam and Eve was left in the
Garden of Eden to care for God's creation, but disobedient destroyed everything
and open the flood gates for all manner of evil.
God blessed man with a will and the ability to make decisions and
provided His wisdom to aid in our decision-making. Following God's management
plan, then there is always enough with plenty left over. Christ fed thousands
with two fishes and five loaves of bread with twelve baskets left over.
However, when man feels that he knows more than God and can manage better
than God, then the results are confusion. Our world is influx, man is at odds
with one another, and some are failing to give God His ten percent as outlined
in scripture. What we have is poverty and starvation throughout the land; many
churches are closing due to a lack of funds and declining membership and many
are turning to the government for its social programs for sustainability. God
can and will sustain His house just as He sustains everything else.
Therefore, the question now becomes, how is our stewardship? Are we
managing God's creation-this earth and all that is within according to His will?

Honored By God
Psalm 8:4-6
What is man, thou are mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou
visited him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast
crown him with glory and honor. Thou makest him to have dominion over the works
to thy hands; thou hadst out all things under his keep.
Our discussion text tells how God our Father, creator and sustainer has
honored man by giving him dominion over all of His creations. More importantly,
God breathed the breath of life into man and he became a living soul. This
breath is God's Spirit; therefore, part of God lives in us. This makes humanity
special to God and even more special when we first believe that there is a God
who created both seen and unseen.
God honored His prized creation-man by making man a little lower than His
angels who are spiritual being that serve at His call. God crowned us with
wisdom, knowledge, a will and emotions as well as with a desire to follow or
reject Him for who He is and what He does in our lives. God honored man by
giving him dominion over all His creation.
It is noteworthy to say that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of humanity
as He represented deity and humanity as man's propitiator. He is given full
dominion over all God's creation as He is God, but in the meantime mortal man
is to take care of God's creations.
Reflect on man having dominion over all God's creation, and ask this
question, why didn't God make animals the ruler over man being that animals were
created first? This speaks to God's love for man and how man was created, and
then asks, who else but man has God's Spirit living in them?
Humanity, we are special to God and this is shown in how He honors us.

Blessed And Highly Favored
Luke 1:28
...Thou are blessed and highly favored, the Lord is with thee; blessed
art thou are among women.
The scene for today's lesson study is the Mary the mother of Jesus being
visited by the angel of the Lord informing Mary of her very important
assignment as it relates to the promised Messiah's birth. Mary had found favor
with God the Father and was chosen to be the human gateway for Christ's birth
to fulfill the mission of paying man's sin-debt.
Believers have found favor with God the Father in that we are chosen to
be His peculiar people set apart from this world and be the lit candles shining
the light of Christ our Savor. Believers collectively are the city that is set
upon a hill calling all unbelievers to come and join the family of God as His
sons and daughters.
Believers being blessed and highly favored as God's elect, we wear the
righteous garment of salvation because all believers have been washed in the
shed blood of Jesus Christ. Being blessed and highly favored, believers will
spend eternity in the presence of God and will have glorified bodies like
Christ. Being the blessed and highly favored of God we were chosen from the
foundation of the world as God knew from the beginning who would accept His
salvation invitation to live with Him forever.
Believers, we are the blessed and highly favored of God as His special

Chosen Vessels Of God
Acts 9:15
...The Lord said unto him, Go thy way for he is a chosen vessel unto
Me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.
The setting for today's text is Paul conversion while on his mission of persecuting
the Christians. God had already chosen Paul to be His vessel to carry the
gospel message to the world. This speaks to God having the final say on our
lives to fulfill His purpose of spreading the gospel message of Christ.
Paul being a chosen vessel of God, he accomplished great things in the
name of the Lord; so will you and I.
Being the elect called by God, He has a mission and a purpose for all of
our lives and as we willingly submit to the call God is pleased and is with you
every step of the way through His Spirit. Remember Paul and Silas while in
prison and how God delivered them and in the process the jailer and his
household were saved. There are other instances where God's presence is with
His chosen vessels. He will do the same for you and me today; because He never
changes.
It is noteworthy to say, being a chosen vessel of God we may have to
suffer sometimes, but fear not God is with us. Christ suffered much for our
sake; why not suffer for His sake in carrying the salvation message to lost
souls of the world.
Christ is the message and believers are the chosen vessels chosen to
carry that message.

Dwell Together In Unity
Today's message taken from my monthly devotional
"Heavenly Bread" September 2014 Edition): Paperback - http://www.amazon.com/dp/1501029592

"Dwell Together In Unity"
Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together
in unity.
The writer of this psalm is posing a question regarding believers living
together in unity and in doing so we as believers emulate the unity of the
Godhead. This can be achieved by believers yielding control to the indwelling
Holy Spirit who is God. Dwelling together expresses love for self, God and one
another and bring into focus John 17 where Jesus prayed that His followers
would be established in love, in holiness and unity.
Another school of thought is that in the Godhead there is complete unity
and harmony and this is expressed in God's work in the lives of humanity. Let's
look at the Godhead, God the Father gave the Son and the Son gave His life
redeeming man back to God. God the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer as our
guide, teacher and protector while here on earth. There is complete harmony in
the Godhead and this same harmony should exist among believers regardless of
whom or where the believer may be.
There is a phrase that asks can two walk together unless they agree; the
answer is no because it represents disharmony. When the church came together
and prayed for Peter while he was in prison the church was on one accord just as
it was on the Day of Pentecost. What this says is that when believers come
together in unity then the Spirit of God will be in the midst.
There is unity in the Godhead and among the brethren.

A Faith Walk With Christ
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Our scripture text makes a profound statement regarding our faith while on
this Christian journey, because without faith it impossible to please God. This
is because first, we must believe there is a God who created everything and He
exits as three persons in one. Second, we must believe that Jesus Christ is God's
Son who came to earth as human to pay man's sin-debt to restore a broken
relationship cause by sin. Third, our faith causes all believers to believe
that yes Christ rose on the third day as promised and is now seated at the
right hand of the Father making intercessions for us. Forth, it takes faith to
believe that all believers are now sons and daughters of God and are members of
His holy nation of priests set aside to do His will. Fifth, it takes faith that
just as Christ came the first time to pay man's sin-debt He is coming back
again for His church and all believers will reign with Him forever. Who are
Christ's church-all believers? Sixth, it takes faith to believe there is a
heaven and a hell and being out of Christ leads to spending eternity in hell,
which is being eternally separated from God our creator and sustainer.
A faith walk requires all
believers to see things with our spiritual eyes as though we see them with our
natural eyes.

He Is Faithful
Psalm 119:90
Thy faithfulness is unto all generations; thou hast established the
earth, and it abideth.
This month's focus discussions are centered on the theme "A Walk
with God"; therefore, today's focus discussion is answering an implied
question of why should we walk with God?
Let us reflect on the faithfulness of God in keeping His promises; first,
He promised the nation of Israel
a deliver to deliver them from the oppression of Pharaoh. He provided for the
nation of Israel as they spent 40 years in the wilderness serving as a cloud by
day and pillar of fire by night to light their way (Exodus 13:31). The
Israelites shoes lasted their entire journey in the wilderness; Nobody but God.
Second, He promised to be their God and He
was even though Israel
requested an earthly king like the other nations. He remained true to His
nature-love and continued loving and caring for Israel and all believers.
Third, God the Father promised a Savior and Jesus Christ came, suffered,
bled, died and rose Sunday morning providing salvation to all who believe.
God's spiritual invitation remains open so that all generations have an
opportunity to be saved.
Fourth, He promised to provide for all our needs (Philippians 4:19) and
He does. Fifth, God promises eternal life to all who believe in His Son Jesus
Christ; another promise made and kept.
God is faithful to all His
promises, then why not walk with a faithful God?

A Restorer Of A Broken Fellowship
Isaiah 58:12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou
shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shall be called,
The repairer of the breach; The Restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah looked far into the future to foretell of Jesus Christ and depicting
Him as the Restorer of the breach that sin caused.
Restoration was necessary because man was out of fellowship with God our
Creator. Man was created to be in fellowship with God and when that fellowship
was broken before man and God could be reunited in a harmonious relationship
that existed before sin entered the divide had to be restored. The perfect
repairer was Christ Himself who is God in the second person and being God He
met all that was required by God the Father to repair the breach-spiritual divide.
Our scripture text also bring into focus the phrase "can these bones
live" which refers to the destructive nature brought on by sin. The nation
of Israel
had become so sinful until God looked upon the entire nation as a valley of dry
bones. The sinful conditions of our world today can be viewed as a valley of
dry bones and yes they can live with the preaching of God's Word.
Preaching the gospel of Christ and His atoning works to lost souls of
this world they too will come to Christ as they realize that life in Christ is
greater than life without Christ.
As lost souls come to Christ another broken fellowship restored.
