Be at Ease;Jesus Has Overcome the World

Voting Day In America

My message is, America, get out and vote. Your vote is your voice; therefore, make your voice heard by casting your vote for someone who has fought for the rights of all Americans, not just for the filthy rich and themselves.

America, the choice is clear, do we want to go back to the Jim Crow era or move forward where everyone has a fair opportunity to get ahead?

In case you forgot, remember January 6, we have been called garbage, we are not garbage, we are Americans, citizens of the United States of America.

America, we are not a third-world country. We are a country governed by the rule of law.

My prayer is that there be no violence before, during, and after the election.

We are voting to save our democracy; therefore, vote, vote!

Today's Scriptures to Ponder

James 1:19-22 KJV says, Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

What Mean These Stones? Joshua 4:21KJV

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, when your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, what mean these stones?

The setting for today’s message is when the nation of Israel had crossed over the Jordan River, and Joshua instructed the priest to take twelve stones from the riverbed as a memorial to the time when God brought them safely across the river as He did when their forefathers crossed the Red Sea.

This was so that future generations, just as we do today, would know how God provided for their forefathers and how we are all part of a shared history and faith.

A memorial is a time of reflection and remembrance. Today, we reflect on fond memories of our loved ones and our fallen soldiers who sacrificed so much for our safety and peace around the world, and for that, we say, “Thank you for your service.”

As we celebrate this day, let us do so in peace, love, safety, and reflection.

Today's Devotional Scripture: Deuteronomy 31 KJV

Devotional reading comes from Deuteronomy 31, which is Moses' last instruction to the nation of Israel that he was coming to the end of his time of leading them and that Joshua would succeed him. They were to follow Joshua as they did him- the sign of an excellent God-fearing pastor/leader giving final instruction to the church- His people.

God’s Faithfulness: 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 KJV

Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;  That in everything ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:  So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Be patient and wait on God, for He is faithful.

Love and Awesome Power of God: Psalm 36:5-7KJV

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

There is no love and power like that of the One True God; therefore, bask in both.

In All Things Be True: Titus1:15-16 KJV

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God, but in works, they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Emulate God in truthfulness.

February 15, 2024 Meditation Scripture: Zephaniah 3:17 KJV

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Today’s scripture verse encourages as it serves as a reminder of who God is, His love, and extraordinary powers. Therefore, when facing life’s challenges, let us rejoice in the Lord for being in our midst and delivering us out of our adversities.

February 13, 2024, Meditational scripture:

Isaiah 54:10 KJV, For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

God is saying to us that regardless of whatever else passes away, His love for us will never leave us; neither will His peace, which surpasses all understanding.

Let us take comfort in knowing that we have a God who loves us unconditionally, and His presence is always near.

Today’s meditational verse, Hebrews 11:11 KJV

, Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

This verse proves that nothing is impossible with God; therefore, have faith and believe in the impossible.

January 25,2024Meditational Scripture: John 1:1-5 KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus Christ is the incarnated word of God, who was present in the beginning with God and is God in the flesh. God, Jesus Christ, came to earth, providing salvation to all who believe in Him. Believe and be saved as He is God.

Conclusion of Proverbs 12:17-28 KJV

Today’s meditation scriptures: Psalm 119:1-16 KJV

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes. 13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. 16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

January 15, 20240 meditation scripture: Psalm 78:1-4 KJV

January 15, 20240 meditation scripture: Psalm 78:1-4 KJV

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come to the praises of the Lord and his strength, and His wonderful works that he hath done (Psalm 78:1-4 KJV).

These verses are God’s plea for the people to hear Hin, listen to His words, and follow His instructions. When we as parents know God’s word, we can teach them to our children. All hear and adhere to the words of God.

New Year Meditation Scripture

Isaiah 43:18-19 KJV says, 18 Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Today is the beginning of a new year; let us leave the old negative behind and start afresh with a new focus on living godly.
