But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
We are continuing our study of events that occurred before
and after the birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As stated in
our scripture text, everything happens in God’s time. Why? Because God’s timing
is perfect. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and sovereign; therefore, His
time is perfect in everything He does.
Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior was prophesied some 42
generations before this prophecy was fulfilled, but the timing was perfect when
it came to pass.
What does this say for you and me today when we want things
to occur in our time? We must learn to wait on God and His time because one day
with God is one thousand years with God. Also, we must learn to be patient as
we wait on God. In waiting on God, patience has her perfect works in our lives.
There is no time like the perfect time of God.
