Everything in God's Time: Galatians 4:4-5KJV

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

We are continuing our study of events that occurred before and after the birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As stated in our scripture text, everything happens in God’s time. Why? Because God’s timing is perfect. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and sovereign; therefore, His time is perfect in everything He does.

Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior was prophesied some 42 generations before this prophecy was fulfilled, but the timing was perfect when it came to pass.

What does this say for you and me today when we want things to occur in our time? We must learn to wait on God and His time because one day with God is one thousand years with God. Also, we must learn to be patient as we wait on God. In waiting on God, patience has her perfect works in our lives.

There is no time like the perfect time of God.

A Promise Made; A Promise Kept: Matthew 1:22; Luke 2:6-7

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.  And so it was that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Continuing my writing on scriptures related to the prophesied Christ and His birth, today's focus is

God
keeping His promise of sending forth His only begotten Son to be the Savior of the world, this His sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary.

God keeping His promise tells us the true nature of God, our heavenly Father. He is love, faithful in keeping His word, and merciful in His dealings with humankind. Man's sins demanded justice, but mercy took its place in the form of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate this Christmas, let us remember the True Meaning of Christ that there would be no Christmas to celebrate without the birth of Christ.

Keep Faith in God: 1 Corinthians 2:5 KJV

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Getting back into more writing as I recover from knee surgery and in light of the recent news of another Coronus (Omicron Variant) virus that has come upon us.

This new virus is another worry in our lives if we do not place our faith and trust in God.

Let me encourage you, keep faith in God. He is in control and will see us through this situation as He has in other situations. His all-sufficient grace surrounds us daily (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV). God asks us to cast all of our cares upon Him, and He will take care of the situation (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).

Cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus.

A Chose Generation of People: 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

Believers, we are God’s chosen generation of people and the apple of God’s eye; therefore, we are chosen to manifest His righteousness daily.

As God’s chosen people, we are called and commissioned to witness the good news of salvation to a hostile world wherever it takes. Additionally, as God’s chosen people, we are the salt and light of the earth shining the light and righteousness of Christ, so the world will there is another way other than the world of darkness darkened by sin and evil.

Believers, be proud of who we are and are members of God’s holy nation of priests.

Faith The Size of a Mustard Seed: Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

From June through August 2021, I have taught faith from one perspective to another during my weekly Sunday school lessons. So, I lead by the Holy Spirit to provide some encouragement in light of what man is experiencing due to the pandemic and everyday stresses of life.

Let me encourage all to have just a little faith for the improvement of whatever situation that you are in. know that trouble does not last always. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5 KJV).

What am I saying, have faith in God, look to Him for your help, because He is a present help in the time of trouble? This pandemic situation is no different. Ask God to reveal to us what message and or lesson He wants us to learn?  In your everyday stresses of life, look to Jesus, and cast all of your cares and concerns on Him, and He will take care of your problem. Know this: Jesus is the true source of your help, joy, and contentment. Your happiness, peace, and pleasure, the world cannot give, neither does it understand.

We only need mustard seed size faith to move our mountains; in other words, keep your eyes focused on God and His righteousness while believing with your whole heart that in God’s time that He is going to eradicate this pandemic from our society as well as the other evils that are plaguing us.

God is asking us to turn back to Him, seek His face and pray, and He will heal our land because He will have heard and forgiven us of our sins (2 Chronicles 7:14 partial paraphrase).

Precious Memories.

September 11, 2001, twenty years ago, there was an attack on this country that will live in our memories forever. As we pause to reflect and honor the lost lives, let us also remember the togetherness that was felt that day and days that would follow. This country came together as one nation; there was an outpouring of love for one another in a spirit of oneness.

As this county pause to reflect on that day in love for our fellow man, I pray that we maintain that same love and togetherness as we are one nation under God and are members of the human race.

America, we are stronger together and united in love; therefore, let us never forget that day and our fellow Americans who sacrificed so much for our freedom and Democracy.

On that day (September 11, 2011), we were attacked by the enemy from the outside; let us not be attacked and destroyed by the enemy (Satan) from within who is bringing all manner of evilness upon us. America, my prayer is that we turn back to God and repent of our sins, and He will heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). America, keep God at the forefront of our lives, and Satan outside or within will not defeat us because love is the tapestry that will bind us together forever.

Let me close by using these words from the song of the same title; Precious Memories by Aretha Franklin, “Precious memories, how they linger, how they ever flood my soul. In the stillness of the midnight. Precious, sacred scenes unfold.”

Precious Memories.

A Healing of a Nation: 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our nation, our world, is in chaos and needs healing, so join me in a worldwide prayer asking God to heal our land. There is so much devastation. Everywhere you look, there is devastation, flooding in one area, fires burning out of control, hurricanes recking havoc that will take months if not years to recover.

This scene is on display throughout the world. I receive notices of flooding in other parts of our world. Hunger and diseases are ravaging the country, fighting in other parts of the world. People, we need to turn back to God. We are members of the human race created in the image and likeness of God; therefore, let us pray for and love one another.

This nation has many sins it needs to be forgiven for; therefore, let us humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God asking for forgiveness. He is ready to forgive and heal our land.

Acts Introduction part 3

Rich In God's Grace: Ephesians 2:7

That in the ages to come, He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

In his writing to the church at Ephesus, Paul reminded the people of the magnitude of God's grace and His gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is the work of God and His Son. That being said, man is rich in God's grace. Man's is to believe in Jesus Christ and receive the greatest gift that can and will ever be given salvation. What a gift!

The gift of salvation has stood through and will continue to stand through all the ages to come as it carries riches beyond comparison and can only be comprehended with a spiritual

mind as revealed by God the Holy Spirit. The magnitude of God's grace is that mercy took the place of justice which was demanded the punishment of sin, but thank God for His Son Jesus who took man's punishment. God demonstrated His love in action and cannot be superseded by any other love as Jesus Christ became man's propitiator. What a propitiator!

Believers are rich in God's grace because of His Son's atoning work on Calvary of providing salvation to all who believe they will spend eternity with Him.

God's grace, what a rich gift to have!

A Prayer for Guidance

 Holy Spirit,

You know my heartYou understand my deepest wants and needs, and You know my every intention. You know me better than I know myself. There is nowhere I could run to escape Your presence, and nothing I could hide from You!

And that’s why, right now, I am asking You to give me Your divine wisdom and guidance.

I don’t always know what to pray for. My soul is weary and I am tired. I often worry about making the right decision—but I want to live a life that honors You.

Even though I may feel like I can’t move forward or see what’s ahead—You see me. And You know me. So please guide me. Show me the paths that lead to abundant life, and convict me when I am tempted to stray from You.

As You guide me, restore meI will place my hope in You at all times because You know all things, and by You, my life is held together. You are my strength in times of need, and You have become my salvation.

So hold me close, Lord, and teach me to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have given meDirect my steps as You guard my life, because I want to glorify You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

The Power of Faith: Hebrews 11:1; Romans 10:9-10

Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Romans 10:9-10, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the past three months, I have taught on faith using my Sunday School Commentary book and as the

Holy Spirit led me to share some enlightening points on faith.

From our scripture texts (Romans 10:9-10), there is saving power in having faith. The faith that I am speaking of here is a heart faith, believing without total being that yes, there is a God and Jesus Christ is His Son who came to earth in human form to sacrifice His life for humanity. In doing so, all who believe are assured of everlasting life (John 3:16).

Faith is powerful enough to save all who believe from being eternally separated from God, our creator, and sustainer. Faith is powerful enough to cause us to persevere in our faith journey with Jesus because this is an endurance race, not a sprint. While on this faith walk, we will encounter some obstacles; having enduring faith, we will conquer our enemy (Satan) because everything begins in the spirit realm. This is A Persevering Faith because it enables us to continue regardless of how rough the road may get. We can persevere because we have God the Holy Spirit residing in us as our helper, comforter, and strength. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus because: (a) Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and (b) the God (the Holy Spirit) that is in us is much bigger than the god of this world (1 John 4:4).

Therefore, have no fear nor doubt or worries because Jesus Christ promised that He would be with us to the end of the world, and He is. Have faith!

Attitudes Determines Our Altitude: Luke 17:15-16

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

While pondering what to write this morning, I was led to revisit one of our Sunday school lessons that talked about An Attitude of Gratitude. Today’s passage of scripture focuses on the ten lepers that Jesus healed, but only one returned to tell Jesus, thank You for healing my body.

The one returning Leper expressed his gratitude for Jesus having mercy upon him and his companions as they stood afar off, crying out to Jesus for healing. When Jesus answered their plea for help, the nine when on their merry way as if it was Jesus’ duty to come to their rescue. Is this our attitude of the nine who did not say Thank You Jesus for love, grace, and mercy? Are we taking Jesus’ compassionate care for granted, or are we expressing an attitude of gratitude that will determine our altitude in life?

A simple thank you will take us far in this life as it tells God I think You for waking me this morning. You didn’t have to, but You did. Thank You for all that You do in my life, especially providing salvation through my faith in Your Son Jesus Christ. Our attitude of thankfulness makes a significant impact in the eyes of God and the world because it manifests the likeness of Christ, our Lord, and Savior.

Therefore, let our positive attitudes cause us to soar like an eagle.

God Our True Protector: Psalm 91:1-4(KJV)

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

In the midst of the daily chaos and confusion that we are facing, I was led by God the Holy Spirit to remind everyone that He is our true protector. We must hide ourselves in the secret place (His dwelling place) of His sanctuary and shall be safe because He is our refuge, our strength, and is our hedge of protection.

Whatever obstacles and pestilence (plagues and pandemics) will not come near us because God is true to His word when He says, ‘I will cover you with my protective armor (feathers of my wings), and through the truth of my word I will be your shield and buckler." What we must do is trust God with total confidence as we plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and families. Remember what Jesus’ blood has done for all believers and will do the same for those who have not trusted Him (Jesus) as their personal Savior when they accept Him as Savior.

Let me close by saying if you have doubts about anything, trust in God by taking all of our cares and concerns to Him in prayer and leave them with Him. He is in total control and will protect His own. Just as He promised never to leave nor forsake His own; He is true to His word.

There is no better protector than God Himself; therefore, abide in Him in His sanctuary of peace and rest.

Begotten of the Father Through Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:3.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Being begotten of the Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shows the Father’s great love and mercy for His prize creation. All who believe in Christ died with Him on Friday and rose with Him on Resurrection Sunday to a blessed hope. Knowing that we as believers have an assured hope of eternal life is praise-worthy.

Mission Lesson: Faith For Your Journey.

Love Conquerors All.

1 Peter 4:8-10, Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

There are no Impossibilities with God

Hebrews 11:11, Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed and was delivered of a child when she was past age because she judged him faithful who had promised. With God all things are possible. Faith the size of a mustard seed brings all impossibilities into reality.

Set Your Minds on Christ: 1 Peter 1:13

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

Amid the chaos today, it is easy for us to lose focus on what matters most: Jesus Christ. We must focus on Jesus as He is Lord of all and controls every situation.

We are to focus on Christ because He asks us to cast all of our cares upon Him, and He will take care of the problem. We can do that if we trust Him.

Let me encourage everyone to set our minds on Christ Jesus as He is our assured hope for a brighter tomorrow as God’s grace abounds forever.

A mind that stays on Jesus is one of peace and joy.

A Plea For God's Mercy: Psalm 30:10-12

Psalm 30:10-12, Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou, my helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.

We are feeling alone and helpless we have the assurances of God’s mercy because He hears our faintest cry and will come to our rescue.  Therefore, let us sing praises unto His holy name, for He is worthy of all praises, glory, and honor.

Call on God:

Palm 18:6, In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. God's ears are always open to our cry; so call on Him He hears and will answer.

Trust God: Isiah 40:29; 41:10

Isiah 40:29, He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. This proves that we can rely on God for His strength and power in every situation. We have nothing to fear but fear itself, because Isaiah 41:10 says, Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Everything Thing Has a Season: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

When we look at the cycles of life, we can find the factual evidence written in today's scripture text. That being said, it brings me to these questions, what is your season? Are you in the planting season, or in the harvesting season, the season of casting away or putting on something new?

If we are in the planting season of our lives, then we are starting something new all with God's blessings, whereas if we are in the harvesting season, then we are reaping the benefits of the crop that we have planted, glorifying God for the harvest.

If you are casting away in the season, then it is time to plant a new crop (start a new season by planting-walking with God).

Know your season, thank God for whatever season you are in, and then be like Paul when he stated that he knew how to be comfortable regardless of his situation.

The season of accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savio is always a planting season, the walking in the light of His glory is the season of growing, and our harvesting season is bringing others to Christ.

Know your season!

Trust God.

Psalm 25:9, The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. It is wise to trust God always for He knows the way and He is the truth. Trust God.
