For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. That the righteousness
of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit.
Our scripture texts explain how the law of the Spirit
frees all believers from the law of sin because the law of the Spirit forgives
sin whereas the law of sin could not. Forgiveness is in Jesus Christ who died
on the cross for the sins of the world.
His death restored the broken relationship between man and God the Father that
sin caused and the result of this separation man was destined for to spend
eternity in hell.
It is worth noting that the law of the Spirit of life
is the presence and power of the Holy Spirit operating in believers as we have
yield control of our lives to Him.
That said, with the indwelling Holy Spirit, believers
have the power to live in holiness to God and His righteousness. Believers are
no longer slaves to sin and its demonic powers, but are now freed to a life of
righteousness and holy living.
Life in the Spirit means that we live and
walk in the Spirit.
