A Healing Of A Nation

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; than will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Many of you may wonder why I continue revisiting this scripture; it is because our nation is in crisis. Each time I watch the news it is filled with depressing news of our babies being killed and the mass shootings that is occurring until my heart bleeds with compassion and ask God for mercy on this nation. I asked the Lord why so much hatred and killings that are taking place in our society as there appears to be a murdering spirit in the earth seeing how many can be destroyed. The answer keeps coming back to me many have turned their backs on God and have forsaken His moral laws all in the name of political correctness. His institutions of marriage and family have been replaced with man's definition of each. This will never stand when judgment day comes.
This nation was founded on godly principles which are based on scripture and when those principles became a thing of the past this opened the door for all manner of sin to take center stage. Take heart believers this is short lived because the God that we serve is in control and in His own time will put down the evilness that we are witnessing in today's society.
Fellow believers I thank God for you as we continue praying for a healing of this nation. Just think what the conditions would be like if prayers of the righteous weren't being made? God keeps His promises and as promised in our scripture verse is no exception. Therefore, let us continue praying and believing; God have heard our prayers and a healing of this nation is certain.
A nation in crisis that is ready for a healing.

Christ's Spotless Church

Ephesians 5:25b-27

Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

If the question was raised, who is the church? The church is made up of baptized believers who have been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Individual believers are part of the corporate body of Christ each being given a different gift to edify the body.
As each believer is called by God, the person is then sanctified, justified and regenerated through Christ's shed blood. In doing so every believer have been given a right standing with the Father and when Christ present His church before God it is spotless and holy just as He is.
Christ's church is the holy nation of priests that have been set apart from this world while it remain in the earth. The church will remain holy up to and through its stay in the New Jerusalem, which is forever. It is noteworthy to say, the church is to be holy as it is the bride of a holy One who is its head-Christ.
Kingdom building is in full swing as each person who comes to Christ. He is establishing His New Jerusalem where He will reign forever.
Believers, we are part of Christ's spotless church. We are the righteous of Christ.

Christ, The Bread And Water Of Life

John 6:33, 7:37-38

Today's message is taken from my monthly devotional Heavenly Bread that is published on Amazon's CreatSpace and Kindle.
....If any man thirsts, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Today's scriptures make a profound declaration regarding the living bread and water that is required for eternal life. This is the declaration made by Christ Himself telling all who believe that He is that bread and water and it behooves all humanity to eat and drink of Him and be saved.
Notice how Jesus uses this parabolic saying to make His point of salvation; physical food and water is a necessity for this life's sustainment; without them the body perishes. This is true of one's spiritual life.
This question comes to mind, how do one eat and drink of Christ's bread and water? This is achieved by staying connected to the vine-Christ through daily scripture reading, meditating on the Word, and daily prayer. Reading God's Word, the reader must be willing to abide by the Word as well as allowing the Holy Spirit to control our lives as He is our heavenly compass.
Water is a symbol of the Holy Spirit that fills our souls daily with a fresh anointing of God's love, grace and mercy. Bread is considered the heavenly manna that come down from heaven through our daily Bible reading while allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of God's Word.
Eat, drink and be filled with an everlasting life. A life that never grows old.

Love With Forgiving Love

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I continue revisiting the subject of love because of the hatred that is filling the airways and our lives will cause one to believe and or feel as though there is no love and or good in man. Allow me to say there is godly love that is shown to many and in different formats as the person showing love realizes that we are loved and have been forgiven by God; therefore, we are to love all and forgive in spite of situations and or conditions.
Loving with unconditional love emulates the love of God in that He gave His best to forgive us of our sins. That said, in this life we will encounter situations that calls for forgiving love.
Love conquerors all.

Reflections On Who Is Christ?

John 10:10

Today's discussion is taken from my April Heavenly Bread devotional with a focus on Christ and His atoning works reconciling man back to God the Father. In doing so, all who believe have a right standing with the Father.
In our reflections think on the names that is associated with Christ and what each means to you; some are: (a) the Anointed One, (b) the good shepherd, (c) Savior, (d) the Word and (e) the Bread of life. Christ as the anointed One was slain from the foundation of the world to be the Savior of the world.
Christ as the Savior of the world is the good Shepherd who give living bread and water that is essential for all believers' spiritual growth.
Christ is our bright and morning star whose light shines brighter than the sun, because He is the Son of the living God.
Being sons of God the Father, we are the lit candles in this world shinning bright the light of Christ in a sin darken world.
Believers, we are who we are because Christ our Savoir paid it all on Calvary's cross, and there is no greater reward than to be counted as members of God's holy nation of priests.
Christ is the head of the church and all believers are His bride who will reign with Him in the New Jerusalem.

A Servant's Heart

Philippians 2:7-8

But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

What does it mean to have a servant's heart? There are several definitions for the term servant; today's focus discussion defines servant and the heart of a servant. A servant can be defined as "One who is distinguished as obedient and faithful to God or Christ (Joshua 1:2; 2 Kings 8:19; Daniel 6:20; Colossians 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:24)."
Our lesson text and listed scriptures provides additional insight into what it means to be a servant. A servant is also one that serves another; Joshua and Moses are notable servants of God who served faithfully unto the end. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully served doing the will of His Father to the point He took on the sins of the world. Christ did what man could not do for himself. What a servant?
2 Timothy 2:24 states that as a servant of the Lord, we as believers must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful, and certainly not quarrelsome (partial paraphrasing).
As servants of God, these questions come to mind, is our service manifesting the love, care and concern of Christ our Savior? In our service is it one of sacrifice with an attitude for Christ I live and for Christ I die? Remember, what we do or don't for the least of Christ's people we do unto Him (paraphrased).
Believers, we are called to serve; therefore, have a servant's heart and serve with faithfulness.

Fresh Rain Of God's Love

Psalm 72:6-7

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass; as showers that water the earth. In His days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace as (so) long as the moon endureth.
In light of the constant flow of grim news I felt led to remind everyone of God's love that is as fresh as the morning dew. God demonstrates a fresh outpouring of His love daily in different formats. Our scripture text states that God's love will last forever and all believers will flourish in His love and with an abundance of peace. God's peace is enduring and the world's peace can't match God's peace.
It is noteworthy to say the Psalmist is making clear his point of God's love that he used the illustration of rain that comes down from heaven and is beneficial to all it touches. Notice a flower and how it flourishes after being watered with God's rain. It perks up with a fresh smile as say thank You God and I love You in return.
Believers, be encouraged and tell God thank You for Your love, grace and mercy. Justice was demanded that I remain lost, but mercy took its place and I tank You. Your love is poured out on me daily and I thank You. You loved me when I didn't love You and I thank You.
Thanksgiving for Your fresh rain of love will ever be in my mouth singing praises to You holy name.
We welcome you comments.
