Happy Thanksgiving

Psalm 100:1-6

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God, it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endureth to all generations.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I was led by the Holy Spirit to remind everyone of how blessed we are in spite of any difficulties we may be experiencing. Regardless of our troubles we are still blessed beyond measure. It is God's goodness that we are awakened each day clothed in our right minds with a reasonable portion of our health and strength. All of our basic needs are met (food, clothes and shelter) and even the homeless are blessed just to see another day.
Let's close by saying, each day's blessings are too numerous to count, then multiple 365 by each day; the results are God's blessings are more than we can count.
Be thankful and praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Royal Sons And Daughters Of God

1 Peter 2:5

Ye also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Peter is informing the hearers of his day just who we are as believers with royal blood flowing in our veins. We are special in the eye sight of God being that all believers were chosen by God before the foundation of the world. God knew from the foundation of the world who would hear and accept His spiritual invitation to salvation and spend eternity with Him.
Believers are royal sons and daughters of God by the atoning work of Christ our Savior and members of a holy nation of priests (v. 5).
Being royal sons and daughters of God believers are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices unto Him while being nonconforming to this world and it values (Romans 12:1-2). Being royal sons and daughters of God we present our bodies as instruments of righteousness manifesting the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As royal sons and daughters of God, believers proclaim the gospel of Christ the world over as well as offer praises unto His holy name.
Believers, we are the lively stones of God built up in Christ who is the head (v.5).

Praise God For His Deliverance

Psalm 9:1-2

I will praise thee O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee; I will sing praise to they name, O thou most High.

The month of November is associated with Thanksgiving when friends and family come together giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness that He has bestowed upon us each day of our lives.
That being said, we offer praises unto a Holy God for His blessings and deliverance because all believers have been delivered from the clutches of sin through sacrificial death of His Son Jesus Christ who shed His precious blood atoning our sins. Our deliverance from sin is praise worthy. God is gracious and loving until He delivers us from the many unpleasant situations we find ourselves.
We praise God for His deliverance when the enemy attacks shake us to our very core; He is there saying, don't worry my child; cast all your cares upon me and I will take care of them (1 Peter 5:7).
We have many reasons in which to praise God, the first and foremost is that He is sovereign, all powerful and the essence of our being from the beginning to the end. He is the God who knows the end from the beginning. He is the God who created all that exist and sustains all His creations.
We praise God through singing of songs, hymns, prayer and worship. We praise God in private and in public settings; simply praise God for He is worthy.
God our deliverer praise Him.

Transformed In Christ

Romans 12:2

....Be not transformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Paul is encouraging the Romans believers to reframe from bowing to this world's pressure to conform to its morals and values as they are contrary to those of God. These words of encouragement apply to all believers today and for generations to come.
It is noteworthy to say in today's society corruption is everywhere and in some instances have made it way into the church. What must believers do? Believers are instruments of righteousness who are called by God to be His spokespersons; therefore, we are compelled to call out sin when ever and wherever is appears. Believers being the righteous of Christ we are to let our light shine everywhere we go and in all situations. This includes shinning the light of Christ even in the church when its core principles have been compromised.
To be nonconforming to this world, believers have the indwelling Holy Spirit to aid in our efforts of living sanctified lives in the face of a corrupt society. Also, being non conformant to this world, believers are better able to do the will of God which pleases Him. Lastly, being nonconforming to this world and persevere to the end will spend eternity with Christ in the New Jerusalem.
Believers, we are transformed in Christ because of His atoning work on Calvary's cross.

The Great Assembly

Psalm 89:7

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.

Our scripture text makes a profound statement as it relates to the assembling of the saints and what mindset all believers should have while looking forward to that great and glorious assembly in heaven with God. All believers are to honor God with a reverential fear recognizing Him for who He is and His sovereign powers.
God is worthy of all glory and honor daily, and with the coming together of the saints in our local congregations to worship and glorify God; what a glorious time that is; then imagine the joyful time that will be when all God's children from every nation is gathered together in one place giving Him praise. There will be ongoing praise and worship services; even the angels in heaven bow before the King singing Hallelujah glory hallelujah to the Lord our Savior.
That said, while here on earth let every heart sing praises unto the Lord God of host, and serve the Lord with gladness (Psalm 100:2). Enter into His courts with praise, and bless His name as His mercy endureth for ever. (Psalm 100:4-5).
All believers are chosen by God to be in His great assembly; therefore, thank Him for being His elect.

Alive In Christ

1 Corinthians 15:20-22

...Now is Christ rose from the dead, and became the firstfruit of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

What is our text saying to us? It is saying that all who are in Christ and when this earthly tabernacle is over will live again because He rose from the dead with all power; therefore, He became the firstfruit of the dead. This also mean that all believers' resurrection is assured in Christ, because as He live so shall we.
Our scripture text is also saying that Christ is alive and all believers are alive in Christ as He is the essence of our being from the beginning unto the end. Believers, we serve a risen Savior; therefore, serve Him with all reverence, glory and honor. It is in Christ that we have our being as Christ is the first of everything. That said all believers died and rose with Christ and is assured of being in the wheat harvest who will reign with Christ in the New Jerusalem.
Being alive in Christ; believers are sons and daughter of God and members of His holy nation of peculiar people. Being alive is Christ; believers are co-heirs with Christ and will share in the blessings God has stowed up for us.
Just as Christ is alive so are we.
