Ephesians 5:2
...Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for sweet-smelling savor.
Tuesday's
message focus discussion was love your enemy, but today's focus is walking in love
just as Christ showed love before and after His earthly ministry as He was the
final revelation of God the Father who is love.
That said, our
scripture text explains why Christ did what He did for all mankind. He was
obedient to His Father unto the end. When God the Father looks at believers He
sees the righteousness of His Son Jesus who through His shed blood gave all
believers a right standing with the Father.
Believers are
commanded to love as well as walk in love emulating the love of God; this is so
the world will know whose we are, which is a holy nation of royal priests in
God's family.
Believers show
that they are walking in love by presenting their bodies as living sacrifices
holy unto God through our reasonable service to Him (Romans 12:1). That being
said, believers are instruments of righteousness who have been created in the
newness of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
We as
believers get back what we give out; if we show love then love will return to
us double fold.
There
is no greater love than the love of God; so walk therein.
